November 2, 2022 - 7:19 am2:51 I disagree. When you're playing Valorant yor CPU will definitely bottleneck the GPU regardless of resolution. The same also applies to Call of Duty although to a lesser extent. Buying 5900X + 5500 XT is more suitable for people who want to work on their computer and also play but work is the priority. It is not objectively a dumb combo, it's a matter of use case. However for gaming 5800X3D (not to mention 7600X and 7700X) is indeed better

November 2, 2022 - 7:19 amI paired an evga rtx 3080 FTW with an intel 12th gen 12900 ks. I suspect I bought the wrong processor. It runs hot according to reviews and doesn’t have the best performance statistics for gaming. Jays 2C did a video on undervolting these Intel thermal-throttle-o-matic CPU’s but I can’t locate the voltage setting in my BIOS (ASUS ROG z690E MB. The manual on the BIOS is like a thick book. There is a lot there

I would buy one, i am looking to buy a Pc but it's a lot more complicated than i thought.
I want to play the new cod warzone on at leats 1440p high frames or 4k 60fps or something compatibly with like the PS5/ Xbox series X but i can't build myself one and the pc shops around me or ask a lot of money or they sell outdated hardware for a lot of money :/

I'm having a little trouble though figuring out my CPU GPU combo right now because I'm a VR gamer and I'm not sure how that affects what power you need from the CPU. I'm assuming it needs to be slightly more powerful? Right now I have a Ryzen 5600X with a 2070 super, but I'm looking to upgrade to a 6900XT. Will the 5600X be too much of a bottleneck for that GPU?
