I appreciate many of these styles but think we have more of a transitional vibe going on. I do love farmhouse and french country! But when we buy items, they seem to align more with transitional.
I think Iβm transitional in general. I like modern smaller decor pieces like geometric shapes and different vases, but Iβve always grown up around more I think traditional furniture pieces (even tho my parents couch is the brown leather now, but doesnβt strike me as industrial or rustic). I love more elegant furniture/things tho in general and warm but darker wood. And some industrial lamps I find intriguing but not all of them. ????
I like the French country color palette, but I know I prob couldnβt do it since I already own some black objects especially for my bedroom in jewelry box and modern vase.
Haha Iβm a mess, kind of knew it already but I promise my house looks pretty nice lol β¦ I love mid century furniture, I also like modern farmhouse style and my beloved vintage items, a bit of boho and have some really cool modern light fixtures
Great information. I definitely fall in the transitional category. My home is traditional and I have been adding modern elements over the years. So transitional is what I have achieved and I must say they work very well together!
Wow, that was such an informative video, Kristen! I just started my journey on decorating my older home with pieces I am loving, and did not really understand a lot of these different styles of home decor, but you have helped me a lot with the defining the language that I hear so often in interior designing! Thank you for educating me, and Iβm going to view this video again as not to miss anything! ????????????????
This was so helpful! I think I lean more towards the farmhouse style and my husband selects more mid century pieces. So I'm struggling to balance our styles in our home.
Thank you so much! I am TRANSITIONAL! I struggled to identify my style and this helped so much! Hopefully as we buy a new house I can keep the style in it cohesive. A lot more learning to do on that β€
I do agree with all of the ideas you have presented in your post. They are really convincing and will certainly work. Still, the posts are very short for novices. Could you please extend them a bit from next time? Thanks for the post.
