October 18, 2022 - 6:27 pmhi Satori, In regards to emails, you should be able to use your new email and have the other others forward to your main account. I remember hotmail might be a bit more troublesome, but you can explore that it allows you to auto forward. In gmail I believe you can have different alias for the email, but hotmail doesn't allow this. There's probably a service that takes care of things like this if you don't have the time to explore yourself. This would allow you to use a nicer email alias from now on, while being able to still use the old one.

October 18, 2022 - 6:27 pmYou can just set up your professional looking email address and publish that everywhere on your site; tell your existing clients you are moving over and use it as your reply from address. Then have the old and new address forward to the same place.

October 18, 2022 - 6:27 pmI've been a graphic designer for over 40 years, and concur completely with the advice offered here. It's still difficult to get many clients (I also write copy and create commercial videos) to realize that the end product is not for their consumption, but for their audience. That probably remains my main challenge, but then, if I can't convince them my experience counts, I can't develop a trusting relationship anyway. Sometimes, it's best to just move on. October 18, 2022 - 6:27 pmSorry, but the title is pretty misleading and the video wasn't really helpful for me personally. Might be because I already work in design (not graphic design though) but things like "don't be rude to your clients"; "back up your data", "understand colours" etc. are just common sense. Those tips are generic and superficial, I actually hoped for a little more depth, especially with that title. Like what have you learned through 15 years, what are faults you used to make but now know better, how would you start a totally new project, how to bring your clients ideas together with your own etc… (There's nothing wrong with talking about the very basics, but then the video title should be corresponding)
