Forex Scalping didn’t help me achieve the ALL-TIME RECORD on FTMO with 120 leaderboard appearances in under 1 ½ years.

I am a mother of two little kids. I saw many interviews with you. I used to scalp the intraday. But I can’t anymore. I make more mistakes.
I switched to swing since a few months.
Fun fact I started with swings and switched to scalping. And now back to swing. Thanks for explain this topic. For being different.

    Some friendly debate:
First of all I like Your style, and wont talk You down, BUT theres many ways to milk a cow and one always should be open minded even if he's way works doesen't mean its the only way.

Timeframes are fractal, same stuff that happens on Daily/Weekly will happen on M1/M15 etc price just goes takes liquidity from one point to then transfer it to other point, just the difference is the lower You go the harder it can be to blend multiple timeframes together while forgetting the bigger picture what is actually in play, for beginner it can be really hard to keep switching back and forth especially when theres no experience behind at all. But If You have the experience, You can frame double digit risk reward trades easily assuming You are patient & skilled enough to wait for it.
You can treat/anticipate the Hourly candle also the same way as Daily/Weekly based on last few previous candles & key levels around- all candles, they all do same thing: open – low – high – close or vice versa open – high – low – close, these are facts.
Problem is that so many ppl get lost ONLY in the LTFs and cant accept that some days there are no HIGH PROBABILITY trades while other days there can be 1-2 good trades, preferably with a limited frequency of ~1-2 per day at most to avoid overtrading, atleast for me.
I personally like NYSE open volatility and will be done within 1-2hours, no need to sit 8 hours in front of screen (affects focus & mind/thinking proccess) especially when I know the NYSE open will move the most and take key liquidity out always when moving into opposite direction, and if good position caught, can always leave half "risk free position" running for HTF targets for potential double digit RRs (till Daily/Weekly Swing point).

Some more cons for Swing that You seem to ignore:

    1. longer time in trade – time consuming – missing other setups while looking at it (could mean less $$) + LESS opportunities to practice and learn from own trading as it takes a lot of time till it plays out and gaining live experience vs backtesting old data is different especially physiologically.

    2. blocks capital (applies mostly to stocks accounts)

    3. cannot make use of bottom bake process

    4. having open trades creates a bias when you try to make new decision

    5. the more time trade is open, the more variables come in which can interfer the trade (news, influences of other markets, time of day (markets open/close), risk of black swan)

    6. high margin/capital requirement as capital will be blocked by running trades
    7. swap fees
    8. huge amount of market variables

    pros:

    1. less screentime

    2. lower trading costs

    All the Best!

Hello Bernd! Thank you for that very natural and more important realistic Video.
Iam also on the side of Swing Trading, just on higher Timeframes like Weekly daily and 4h. I really would love to see a discussion between you and Lance Breitstein (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OjUDJEXxPyE) u both have completely different Opinions, i think that conversation between u guys would be very intresting for the Audience.

Thank you anyways for ur great Videos!

ICT is also a disgusting teacher. He constantly strays from the topic, complicates simple things, and at the end of the day blames you for not trying hard enough.

I wasted 6 months of my life until I found out that he was a complete scammer, but I proved him wrong so many times that I developed my own methods.

As a professional profitable scalper for 2 years i would say… Scalping doesn't mean you'll only be analysing 1 or 5 min timeframe!! Also on scalping i myself don't sit entire say long just 15 mins to mark my interest point… and when it comes basically… i scalp .. but my scalp is mostly like 1:10 or 2:25… that's cuz i know where and when to scalp …. The problem you spoke about scalping where you'll make profit and lose on another much more… No offense scalping requires high skills decision making and alot of experience… Whereas i myself do swing trades as well… And i can say swing trades are less stressful but no need to be that skillful but need experience…i myself use higher time frame as like weekly .. mostly the daily chart for scalp… Cuz not.. every time swing is gonna go from one point to another if it happens basically market won't move anywhere lol… Swing trades are same as scalping but on higher timeframe with longer wait and longer holding your postions… Let say on higher timeframe on 0.10 lot size with 1:10 ratio you risked 100 and made 1000 on the other hand on scalping on 1 lot size with 1:10 you also risked 100 and made 1000… The only difference is on scalping you have to know where you can get that kinda trade more faster… Higher time frame swing trades let's say you made 1000 now for the next trade you have time for your brain to process the weight… And move on to next trade… And the next trade you lose like 200 dollars you will again have time for your brain to process…. While scalping everything's same except it's more faster….. That's why they say scalping is not for everyone… You need immense amount of skills, experience, trading psychology and the mental power for your next trade not be biased cuz you won or lose the previous trade!!

I like and am profitable through scalping cuz i feel useless not making a buck and waiting for the market to reach to a point where again there is only 50 50 chance that it can go to whichever direction…

Also I don't use ICT strategies or anything else that you can find on any videos for scalping…

I have my own way to scalp… And also tried to search it on every other market videos to see whether is it me or anyone else had figured this out on the market…

So far I'm the only one with this art of scalping… And I'm not planning to share or sell courses on it… But I'll keep it to me and myself only… Maybe pass this knowledge to my kids someday in the future!!

I've been watching this trader called alpine trading he scalps a few points on nasdaq, he has made more than 100k with apex but I only think it's possible because even he used to say he wasn't consistently profitable not too long.
But since he can just replace every account he losses he is profitable, probably wouldn't work on a personal brokerage account though

A swing trader for slightly more than a decade. Recently when I got unemployed, I went back to day trading. My P/L became neutral and it was tiring. So yeah, back to swing trading it is. Less tiring, less trades and more RR. Cheers to all swingers! 🥂

Honestly, I don't see anything wrong with risking 30,000$ per scalp-trade that figure is less than 1% of my funding.

    Hey Bernd,

Your videos are of such great quality. I don't mean just the content, which is gold, but the quality of the videos themselves. It won't take long until you 10X your subscriber base.

Love your approach of Fundamentals + Technicals executed on the daily time frame.

We are all after freedom, not a job with more stress and watching charts all day, every day.

Keep up the great work, my fellow German 🙂

I love your vids and approach. Very much a beginner and my strategy is only two weeks in practice. It is based on scalping so I can relate and agree. Please help me understand if my logic is flawed. Two big advantages of scalping is limited capital and time to profits if you working out your strategy.

If you swing trade, isn't your SL much larger ito pips when compared to a typical scalp, assuming you can't perfectly find the swing point as a beginner? You would require" huge" leverage or a big starting capital to actually even place the trade?

Your True account challenge was passed in 4 weeks. As a bigginer it's safe to assume the vast majority of initial trades will go in wrong direction, implying you can be 6 months in, placed ten trades and not really made any progress on your account.

Being sincere and any feedback appreciated 🙏
