June 15, 2024 - 1:19 amNice evaluation! As a Soft4Fx user the main drawback is that it does not take into account your account currency. So if trading USDJPY you have to select either one of those currencies to be your account currency. My account is in GBP so this would mean manually converting every trade after the test is finished. I would expect that this effect would cancel out over a large enough data sample but effectively you have 3 currencies involved in the trade while it is open. I am not sure what Forex Tester 4.0 does, if it gets round this issue would be nice but has to integrate with MT4 for me so I can use my preferred Indicators.
