Met haar Prostitutie Informatie Centrum probeert ze al 22 jaar mensen in te lichten over het leven op de Wallen, en alle foutieve vooroordelen β zoals dat alle sekswerkers gedwongen werken β weg te nemen. We volgen Mariska tijdens een prostitutieworkshop die ze geeft aan Sofia, een meisje dat pas net in het vak is begonnen.
De Wallen zijn een plek met een berucht imago en waar een hoop vooroordelen over zijn. In onze serie Achter de Wallen volgen we de mensen die dagelijks in deze buurt werken, om vanuit hun perspectief te zien wat voor wijk dit nu is. I don't think you care about those young lives. if you do, the legal borders of Amsterdam where 70% of the girls work for Romania and Bulgarian mafia and watch hundreds and thousands of girls being abused every year by your legal brothel owners, AKA, the most dangerous mafia and criminals in the Netherlands. most girls work 6 days a week and only 3 weeks of vacation a year. if they get sick, most still pay 200β¬ a day. they work most in unsafe and dusty rooms, where they do most of their own cleaning and clearing up. they are mentally, emotionally and fiscally abused every day by the legal brothel owners. the government and authorities have forgotten about them for more than 20 years, while this is the number 1 tourist attraction in the Netherlands. 13 or more of them have been killed alone in Amsterdam, and you haven't even shown it on the TV or the news. on the other hand, thousands of tourists are being stolen and robbed by the girls every week. and nobody does anything. 99.99% of those girls indicate either 1% tax or 0% tax. now you're brainwashing masses of stupid documents, pretending you really care. these girls can't tell the truth, if they do they will be beaten and killed within 24 hours by the brothel owners, the lowest gypsies and the most dangerous people in the netherlands. but if girls are beaten every day by strangers at your legal brothel, no one will do anything. criminals run away like kings. give me a break ….

She is right though that most do think of the worst kind of situation regarding why that woman or the next is on the other side of that window but some choose to be there.
