February 13, 2022 - 5:51 amDays 102 and 103 of waiting for Episode 2: I highly doubt that this will be turned into a series.

February 13, 2022 - 5:51 amKind of a dumb comparison tbh. Price difference is so large you really can't compare these 2 products. Video is pure clickbait.

February 13, 2022 - 5:51 amFor nut butter why didn't he add water when it's getting obviously too thick and not blending anymore ? Propoganda for the vitamatrix

February 13, 2022 - 5:51 amDays 99, 100, and 101 of waiting for Episode 2: It has been 100 days since this video was released. We got no information about when Episode 2 is coming, let alone if this is a series. Vincent and the Epicurious team have worked hard on this video, but they never made a new episode of Tried + Tested. Let's just hope that they will turn this into a series.

February 13, 2022 - 5:51 amOne thing I took away from this is I now know how to make mayo

February 13, 2022 - 5:51 amNeed to do the vitamix mayo at a slightly higher speed. The beauty of a vitamix is that it allows you to go super slow which means less whipping of air into the mayo – ie less thick

February 13, 2022 - 5:51 amInstead of misusing the blenders you should use the correct tools for the different processes. For mayo the best tool is a tall vessel and an immersion blender, even the mayo he called a success from the Oster was thin and not worth serving. For nut butters you need at least a food processor if not a specialized nut grinder depending on the nut hardness. Crushing ice alone is possible in a blender but not so much at a time! When you are crushing any hard product work in small amounts no more than one cup at a time. That is probably why the Oster smoked during the nut butter test not only is a blender not the best tool but he overloaded it.
Honestly this evaluation was badly done, he tried to use them for recipes that blenders do not excel at (except for the smoothie) and he over filled them in most cases. I suggest someone that understand cooking and engineering redo this test.

February 13, 2022 - 5:51 amHave you tried the Oster Beehive style classic? With all metal parts it's one tough machine. At one point I actually tried to kill mine so I could "upgrade" with a replacement. I put hearing protection on and proceeded to puree raw yucca. It did not die. So I still have it and have not upgraded. For the record, shepard's pie made with yucca instead of potatoes is actually pretty good.

February 13, 2022 - 5:51 amTests feel very biased as the oyster is overloaded. To do a fair tests if heβs going to use the same amount of ingredients he should be using the narrow vitamin container. Alternatively if he halved the amounts the later would have been fine

February 13, 2022 - 5:51 amWhy I feel that the guy is biased and asking us to buy only Vitamix ????

February 13, 2022 - 5:51 am11:00 It's more like sand, it's coarse, rough, irritating, and gets everywhere.

February 13, 2022 - 5:51 am9:51 What kind of engineer would call that a sprocket? It's a spline shaft. I think that interface is perfectly fine for the limited torque of the Oster motor.

February 13, 2022 - 5:51 amThe vitamix also has smaller vessel options for sauces n such.
Tina Chen
February 13, 2022 - 5:51 amI would buy two vita mix one for sauce and one for the bar.

February 13, 2022 - 5:51 amthe Vitamix has a plastic-bowl…. and it has got A LOT of POWER to smash things against that plastic…. and finally YOU eat that plastic…..

February 13, 2022 - 5:51 amWhat about the ninja? Can't you interchange the stuff so you can blend, or you can make a cake batter or even graham cracker crusts
