I have an I9-9900k, basically my PC is used for just gaming, but, I was thinking about recording gameplay for youtube… Is it worth upgrading to 12th gen?

    All the best.

    Cheers.

How about including Microsoft Flight Simulator (a modern game that is frequently CPU limited) in your benchmark suite rather than running mainstream games at yesterday's low graphical settings to illustrate CPU performance.

The R5 5600X is such a beast for the price. $270 vs $740 and it's just 5% behind in Cyberpunk at 1080P Medium, even less at 1440P/4K Ultra or with a GPU bottleneck. Plus, the motherboards are half the price. I'm not upgrading anytime soon. x)

Edit: and 1/4th the power consumption!

imma dislike this for the 100% reason using a game that is abd was sold as a low end game a decade later …. .0003 of monitors are 360 fps soooo 418… i mean to lose all credability with so much content takes work and weird weird weird decidions ro use a one part of a comp that is 1.5 the cost of a entire ps5 or x box….i mean he makes money so the little things mean nothing on the ps4 this game is a joke but in 2021 hes using tech that can cost 3-8 x more …. is that really a review i can lit prove the99,9 of humans wont see or notice based on the setup of above 244… yet u have a game at 500 again the human eye wont help u here

I felt (now and then) when I was making less money (before the minimum wage hike) I was making poorer choices with my hardware buying. Now that I'm making a more livable wage granted with assistance and now that AMD and Intel and Nvidia are showing true competition. I get to revel in being an enthusiast PC builder, and not just keeping up with the trends.

How about putting a few tools in your tool holder. I'm surprised you don't have a rubber chicken and a feather duster in there.

    I'm debating between the Intel i9 12900k 8/8 or the AMD 5900X/AMD 5950X.

Which is better overall for gaming?

    Getting windows 11pro OS.

I love how this whole video is just

"wow the 12900k is actually taking leads over the 5950x in some workloads, and…"
    looks shadefully at the 11900k

Who spends $700 on a CPU and still games at 1080p? Running at 4k or 1440p you see a much closer race between these two CPUs, and AMDs CPU is one year older. With Win 11 on the horizon and AMD gearing for a 6000 series, it might not be the time to upgrade your CPU.

5900x is $369 right now. Debating since i have 3900x. I would need a new motherboard, and cooler for Intel
