Floating Office Rotterdam is the largest floating office in the world and is located in Rotterdam’s Rijnhaven harbour. It is an all-wood circular building on a floating concrete container. From sketch to completion took just 18 months. The jury was impressed by the high architectural quality achieved. And the jury praised the building’s climate adaptive premise and exceptionally high energy performance. It is a powerful and sustainable icon.
The Job Dura Prize is an initiative of the Job Dura Fund Foundation. In addition to the prize, the Job Dura Fund annually supports and encourages various initiatives that sustainably innovate and/or help the built environment of greater Rotterdam to flourish.
