February 17, 2023 - 1:21 amnot trying to argue…but i think its a shame how HR people filter applications in such an inhumane way…..how are people supposed to know they must be somunique and catchy and not address things in a logical way??? a lot of this stuff just seems like the HR side of things is SO entitled and pretentious…hiding behind smokescreens and judging people so hard….and on top of that ….their filters are so easy to trick inauthentically. i hate the job searching process with a passion

There are clearly different views on cover letters; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZfmVSFg_zSI&ab_channel=AndrewLaCivita . I don't know that there is a right and wrong, it is a matter of personal preference and the preference of the recruiter. And to what extend can a good LinkedIn profile replace your cover letter? Some recruiters use LinkedIn extensively, others not so much. Good research may assist in establishing the recruiter's preferred style.
