  I found that having reasonably priced downloadable products be at PDF image or audio that is original and value based on how it is related is the most effective way at this point. Because after a while, having to keep making videos and keeping up with the numbers and the competition becomes just as bad as having a job. So I agree with you. The first thing you must have is a product or idea that is able to solve problems in the outside world. Creating a website is just the first step then the hard work begins. Don’t just look at something that’s trending. Look at something that’s in need Fulfill the need consistently work confidently and never give up. Study your competition do the things that they won’t do and do the things that they do better than them and eventually you create your stream of income. This is an excellent video that you created Mak I learned a lot from you. Keep up the good work.

  Everything in business is about solving a problem, so if you see a problem in your community, you take your Web skills and post up the solutions, then communicate to the people in the industry that your skills can be of help in solving their problems. Here in the US, we have several entities such as the local and regional chambers of commerce that helps small businesses reach their goals. A staggering, 63% of the small businesses here do not have a website and 23% of them don’t want one because of the hassle of going back-and-forth with a web developer. Online there are hundreds of people that have websites and claim to be good web developers but they never reach out in their own community because they’re too busy trying to sell online only and that’s a fatal mistake. The best way to move forward as a web developer in my environment would be to post a portfolio create a proposal and communicate to the local businesses and organizations that don’t have or have limited online resources. That usually comes from having connections and the best way to get connections is to network once a person networks many times you have to do work for little or no money in order to demonstrate your skills. But once you have a functioning portfolio and the gift of communication you can address your potential clients with confidence building a website is just building a brochure. It is not generating unless it has Vente content and is marketed to the specific audience to which the problem that you want to solve.

  Being a good web developer, or a good coder is just a skill but in order to be able able to capitalize on that skill, you must have the skill of communication and marketing. That means the ability to talk write and express yourself clearly and effectively. A lot of these videos give you just enough knowledge to be able to put up a website but not who how or when to communicate to your prospective clients what the website can do for them.

  Hey Mac, in response to your video it’s funny that you came out with this revealing the truth about online marketing. I’m going to give you my take on it. I never thought of making money online or doing YouTube videos. I had a product first, and I have always been, a website developer from years before starting with Dreamweaver. But as the web exploded, I realize that if there was a lot of what we call in the states snake oil. This phrase means that there are a lot of people selling a dream of a person making a lot of money being a web developer, or a colder by selling their services online. However, like anything else this is a business and every business must have a solid strategy and a good product as well as a pool of customers.
