Let me preface this by saying, I am not a nail wearing type of gal. I can hardly paint them without getting the paint all over my skin around the nail. However, I recently have been super intrigued when I saw solid gel nail polish which somehow lead me to poly forms. I purchased a kit online but I'm scared to try it. My biggest struggle is using my non dominant hand on my dominant hand. Any tricks or tips?

Just tried poly gels with dual forms for the first time the tips broke off in a day. I think it was the apex and to much liquid they were soft in the middle. I’m going to try again thanks to your video. I think I have found the problem.πŸ₯°

I use the plastic nails that comes with a set, so how do I not let it touch the side walls(sides of the skin)?

I came to this video to figure out why my polygel keeps either popping off of the nail completely kind of like a press on nail wood, or it lifts off of my nail and breaks the tip of my own nail off. I've already lost a couple of nails with injury because of that happening. And I already had good strong natural nails. I just wanted my manicure to look a little more like the salon and last a little longer so I went from regular polish, to experimenting with gel polish, to getting into polygel recently at the end of the pandemic. Hopefully some of these tips will help. I have all the right tools

I have tried to do this process over and over again and it's not working. After you put the first coat of gel can you file it down and then put more gel on top? Or if I file do I have to put a topcoat first then put gel second coat on top?

I recently started using polygel and did in fact notice that the base coat was sticky when it came out of the lamp. I did not wipe it for fear of causing the polygel not to stick. I had one heck of a time with slipping and I was unable to shape the underside of my nail without the entire dualform slipping off. For the last two weeks of my attempts I have had lifting, cracking and breaking. I am now too irritated to mess with them again because I know that I will get upset and sling the stuff across the room. lol.. I am now watching every single "how to" video so that I can get this right. At this moment I have my left hand with a full set of 5 nails and my right hand with my thumb, middle, and pinky finger only and those are lifted, and chipped. (eye roll). When I tried fixing my left hand I was already so irritated that I was going to try and make sure that I was going to get it to stay. I remembered how strong the Rhinestone gel nail glue was and I drilled down the lifted parts and prepped the exposed nail and then covered the exposed nail with the rhinestone gel glue. It worked. I am not going to continue that because I only have a small amount. I want to accomplish the polygel anyway. I just can't seem to get the apex strong enough and keep the product off my cuticle. This time I am just going to leave an orange stick space and just keep practicing. If anyone has any tips that might work for me please let me know.

Can I use acrylic liquid for poly gel? My poly gels say "poly gel/acrylic gel".

You can’t pinch poly gel. If you do that, poly gel gets micro cracks.

Wow!!!! Probably the best tutorial video I have seen!!!! My first attempt using Polygel nails came out perfect and it never lifted!!!! I also had no problems with the refills when the Polygel nails grew out. This was all due to your tutorial video and the Do's and Don'ts when applying the product!!! My nails came out so beautiful and it was all because you!!!! Thank you so very much!!!!
