Everyone loves a good tier list, especially the MMO community because when you get a bunch of nerds together all with different tastes and opinions the results of such a tier list can spark heated debates in the comments which is fuel for the YouTube algorithm, in 2022 I made my first MMO tier list which many agreed with whilst others questioned my sanity.
This year we’re taking a different approach, a few weeks ago I put together a poll and got my YouTube community to vote on which tier each MMO should end up in, the first community voted MMO tier list, we got over 5000 responses in total and in this video I’ll share with you the results of this tier list as well as give my own personal updated MMO tier list at the end of this video.

Same goes for Diablo IV; another game that it’s”cool to hate” (even though it’s great; but not an MMORPG).

March 20, 2024 - 12:54 pmThere is one thing most of these MMOs have that I am sick of seeing or having to play. This is the never ending killing and fighting focused game play. I look for games with Adventure, exploration and building. Because of this I have played Minecraft for over 20 years now and now some of the developers are getting the hint that many feel like I do about all the violence in games. One new game that is gaining population is Palia, a little quirky at times but fun to play. Also Planet Crafter is another that is fun to play but some find the getting going when they start some what difficult without having to get youtube help. The youtube help in games is a topic I feel needs to be addressed. I feel that it is getting to the point where getting youtube help is cheating your way through the game by tell players how to do everything in a game to come out on top. I do not expect this to change so game devs need to make it harder for youtube content creators to tell all the game secrets to players. Maybe to have quests that do not have any solutions would help confuse them. Also I want to say that Microsoft needs to stay out of game ownership because they really messed up Minecraft players with their having control and know everything you do.

MMORPG is either good(A/B), okay(B/C), or totally not worth your time(F); that's the nature of games like these that require lots of time investment(often it has to be the "main" game you play if not the only game you play) from a lot of people. If it's bad enough to be D tier then it absolutely also belong in F tier, because of the time you didn't spend on playing better games.

March 20, 2024 - 12:54 pmMmos are dead. Whay we call mmorpg these days are uust solo games with multiplayer function much lime the SAO games are. Tondo a proper tier list has to be broken between f2p, gacha l, subscription based or p2w. Take ff14 for instance says its an mmo but I've played solo from start up till shadow bringers l, yes ive been firced intonsome dungein sfor story but otherwise ots not necessary to get a character up to 90 if you want to. L2 in the warly dahs was mmo, now its p2w. In the day you coukdnt just que for a raid or dungeon you had to chat soth stranhers or find a guild, but mot anymore.
