I think the jump in people suggesting it is to validate another tuber that has it on his charts and does very well in the air cooled. he had other complaints about the Freezer 50, so he later ripped off all the plastic and threw on 2 arctic 140mm RGB fans and its performance was insane and much quieter. the plastic really hurt the product sadly. he called his version the Freezer 51. I think in this test the big thing to look at is yes the scyth fuma 2 is great, but its also a 6 tube dual tower design. which should be considered as well when comparing them.

I have a question. I hope anyone can help me. I just built my first pc and the arctic 34 esports duo is the cooler I used. I finished the build and everything is running good, but I’m really not too pleased with it’s aesthetic. Basically pc runs good, but looks boring. Am I able to replace the two fans on the arctic cooler with two different fans. Say like remove the arctic fans and replace them with Corsair rgb ones?

I'm seeing reviews that the Noctua u12a beats the d15 but it is super expensive. Have you done a review of the u12a?

It is good enough for 11900f turbo mode at 5.1GHz , just for typical gaming usage? Or should i get the Freezer 50 instead? Running low on budget and looking for something under 100e, because any good Noctua/Be Quiet, prices here goes over 110-120e sadly.

Got the Arctic Freezer…Duo cooler after seeing this review and i'm even more impressed! Had a stock wraith spire on my R5 5600X running at 4.5Ghz…temperature reduction of almost 20Β°C. And it's not even at top speed…just sick!
Just to edit, i did grind the copper contact plate to almost mirror reflection and got bit more coverage out of itπŸ™ŠπŸ€«

Can you compare these with thermalright's offerings? I believe Thermalright is the king of value right now.

Best option for the screw driver is to print on the box and product description: "You will need a Philips head #2 screwdriver of at least 150mm in length for installation" or similar.

    November 7, 2022 - 2:38 am

Anyone suggested DeepCool per chance? I took a gamble on their Gammaxx C40 a little ways back due to it's relatively low height of 137mm for a tower cooler as it fit inside the Thermaltake V1 ITX that allows up to 140mm. The C40 worked very well to cool an R5 3600 without making a ruckus. I'd be curious to see some of their new products tested.

I own one, ran it with 2 fans for a while but they made a howling sound once I hit 35% fan speed, quite annyoing.
After removing one fan, the howling stopped and I didn't see any difference in temps, quite happy with it.

Why not include the Noctua Redux + second fan kit in the comparisons? It's available bundled, for $60 (via Amazon). That places it in roughly the same price category

Mine came a few days ago alongside every other pc part, and I was mid-construct when I realized I never received a LGA 1700 mounting kit alongside the product – which should've been an option on the purchase menu – and now I have to spend an extra week awaiting the kit to arrive from a separate order :

I have this cooler. Been rocking it for almost 2 years. I have it on a ryzen 7 3700x. That's an 8 core/16 thread cpu. It handles my cpu brilliantly. For those who get this cooler. You use the standoffs with a single notch on them for amd systems. Also would advise the arctic method of applying thermal paste. One straight line down each heatpipe on the base. That ensures every heatpipe has an adequet mount to the cpu. Also would advise pulling the full motherboard out to fit this cooler. You need to keep the back plate in place ( i sometimes use my daughters blu tack for that XD) It's just to big and cunky. It's also too hard to get the fans on in tight cases. It runs my 3700x so well, im concidering trying it on a 5800x3d. Im just about to buy this cpu. In theory, the 3700x is a 65 watt cpu and the 5800x3d is a 105 watt cpu and my cooler is a 210 watt cooler so im optimistic. I'm pretty certain it will do a good job at handling the cpu for every day tasks and gaming. Just not sure how it will run under full load though.

Imo. ID Cooling SE-225-XT was the best budget Air Cooler, if you can handle the Jet Engine Noise. (or you can change the stock fan to Arctic or Noctua). Their heatsink is very well designed for a cheap price.

I bought the single fan version of this because it was 10 bucks cheaper than the duo. I also bought a five-pack of Arctic P14 fans to help it. I hope to see my Fractal R5 get nice and cool inside

Hi Steve , bit late with my comments on this as I was back checking reviews for this fan. Have always favoured Arctic for value and perfomance for years. Everyone was on the bandwagon for the Coolernaster Hyper 212 at the time ( think that was the one ). Researching for parts when upgrading to a Ryzen 5 2600 kept seeing glowing reviews for this and immediately purchased it. Have now just upgraded to a MSI B550 board and a Ryzen 5 5600X and transferred the Arctic Duo over to it. Can't praise this cooler enough for value and performance. I'm not one for AIO's apart from longevity and possible leak ( scary thought ) factors I don't overclock and air cooling with todays products are just about as good. I initially removed the second fan and used it for the case exhaust as I don't think it made much difference but with the new build have put it back again , kinda looks more balanced. lol.

All the mention of the Scythe Fuma 2 between this review and the newer budget tower coolers made me check the price and availability in my country. Its very few and far between and costs a significant premium compared to the Freezer 34 eSports Duo, at the cheapest twice the price of the Freezer 34 which is double the price of an ID-Cooling SE224XT.
