November 16, 2022 - 1:06 pmI have been looking on indeed for a couple months, not one call back on any of my resumes posted from indeed, but I did notice that when you post a resume indeed asks you for your address, name city and state, indeed does not charge money for their services but asks for this information again before they send your "resume" to a potential employer, I am beyond well qualified for the positions I am applying to, yet no response from any employer, it seems like indeed is doing what they say they will never do, which is, "sell your information" how else can indeed make payroll?

November 16, 2022 - 1:06 pmFilters make a huge difference, use your filter wisely and I'm sure you will get calls back, I got 2 calls out of like 15 applications, I'm using LinkedIn and Glassdoor as well but LinkedIn is waay to complex and it's hard to find jobs near you, while with Indeed you find jobs in your area much easier but is a little hard to get a call, you need an excellent resume.

They ask if I have a vaccine card ๐ or ged or felony sometimes they ask about family I tell them I don't have one or a ged or a vaccine card but then I show them my court documents and one charge I feel left out

November 16, 2022 - 1:06 pmI think all online hiring corporations should be banned. Here's why. I have spoken to several people that do the vetting for these places. They have admitted to extreme bias. The number one defining factor on choice of applicant is race. Most of them said they do not even consider the applicant's qualifications if they aren't white. They said if it's a white person being unqualified for the job doesn't matter. Education background, as well as experience in the field, are also not determining factors. So a white, undereducated, under experienced person will always qualify before a minority person. This is illegal, but how do you get around employers who employ such tactics? Time for some investigations and law suites to be metered out. This is discrimination outright. By the way, computers are programmed by people… it's all about race.

Most of the jobs listed on Indeed are listed for years.
Either they just collect the applications or the turn over is that bad.
Those jobs will say 100 + applications and no hires.
A number of the jobs listed won't even be in the area listed, fake jobs.
I've never known anyone where I live to get a job from one of these online lists.
Another problem is many of those companies pretending to offer a job are just collecting peoples personal data.

November 16, 2022 - 1:06 pmIndeed takes $$ and sends you resumes from applicants from every other continent or country then you actually live in… They fooled me once, and I thought I made a mistake. Now, the second time. This is not my fault, but is due to unwarranted trust in a fake company.
Please, stop charging me for "qualified candidates" that are over 2000+ miles away. How do I interview? Do I cross my fingers and wait 6 months for a machinist that may or may not come? If they do, are they good enough.
Just saying, Indeed is a scam company that doesn't provide the service that is what would be expected. What is the daily commute from Asia to Canada?

November 16, 2022 - 1:06 pmEvery employer advertises their openings online. Hiring almost always happens through Referrals only. For the mere 10-12 vacancies, candidates are filled by employees refering their known persons for the role.
I know it feels nepotistic and non-merit-based, but networking and referrals are the way to go.

November 16, 2022 - 1:06 pmI am very over-qualified for jobs that I am going after. I am a business owner myself and for some reason I can't even get a job from this site. What they're not telling you is that whichever resume pops up in their system then that's what the company goes by. Truth is your application is somewhere at the very bottom of this list and those employers aren't even seeing your application at all. Once the employer hires someone else, Indeed will send you an email that will tell you that you didn't get hired. Truth is, you didn't even get considered because no one saw your application.

I reported this to the local council but got no response back from them. This means the job vacancy was FAKE. Warning to all applicants to check out the job vacancies via the company you are applying to, to ensure the job is legit. Report any type of scams immediately to law enforcement or fraud prevention teams, to successfully to stamp out this crime.
