Seriously, don't play Valorant. The game is very inconsistent for benchmarking, explaining its strange results. And of course anti-cheat is an P.O.S.

4:38 Or Valorant's anti-cheat could be so s**t that it ruins the game!

3950x, 1080ti here. Am i the only one who locks Games at 120fps for competitive shooters or even 60-90fps for single player games and is Just Happy about 30-60% less power consumption, as well as a cool and almost silent PC?

I have so many parts for the AM4 platform I'm glad to see it's still doable. I'm more excited for 3090 ti/rx6950 level performance under 300w but I'm not willing to spend big money. $500 is about the max I'll spend on a gpu so I probably won't be buying anything any time soon unless AMD drops an affordable mid-range banger card 🀞 sorry but I'm not paying $900 for an 4070 haha hell nah

hey… i have the problem with the GPU utilisation with my 12700k… is this CPU bottlenecking my 4090 at 4k?

i seent the 5900x hit 330$ at amazon pretty good price point for what it offers. One day ill sell mine if they ever cut the 5800x3D to 300$ in a year+ once the am5 X3D chips come out

It honestly seems more worth it to get a 5800X if you're still running the old platform rather than spending the money on a new motherboard and RAM to get a 7600X. It'd net you significantly more performance for less cost. As other commenters also mentioned, even the X3D would make sure you let the RTX 4090 really stretch its legs.

I can’t wait for the AM5 version of this video in 4 years. Will we need to play at 8k to avoid bottlenecking our 8090 nuclear powered GPUs?

Lol amd + a 4090 doesn’t seem likely or common pretty sure you will find a lot more 4090 owners on i7’s and i9’s

Heh. This makes me feel good that I picked a 2600 over a 3600 recently because it’s not all that much different based on your testing. πŸ˜„

You made me feel better about my 5800x3d purchase. I was thinking about returning it to get a new vid card. My old cpu is a 3600.

My 5600X still holding its own and looking solid. I'll be skipping the 7000 series and wait for the next gen of AMD CPUs.

I was able to get a Ryzen 5 5600 on Newegg two weeks ago for only $129.00 US. That is stupid cheap. I replaced my 3600 with it on my x570 motherboard

so quantum measurements are really small, its how we measure sub atomic particles. so quantum leaps are actually really small. like antman small. i figured that this was common knowledge after the antman movies…

Gaming 4k120 with my 4090 and 3900x no problem. I could see an issue with lower resolutions and higher frames needing a higher IPC count CPU though.

I upgraded from an i5 3570k to an 11400F but still using my 660Ti, I mostly play CS:GO and the upgrade gave me a lot of fps and I dont have fps drops having Discord or other things in the background. I was thinking about going AMD but got a good deal for this i5 so I went for it.

I have a new 4090 together with my 8700k and I play in 3840×1600 resolution. How much will my cpu bottleneck compared to a modern 13600-13900k? Thinking of upgrading my platform but want to wait for the new PSUs.

I would like to see a video like this with the 2700x, 3900x, 5900x & 7900x. I wonder if the extra cores would change the conclusion.

given the 5800x3d is $700 where i live im going to look at intel instead of upgrading my R5 1600 AF it holds up fine for now anyway only have an rx 6600

I think the 5800X3D should have been included in these results. The 7600 is a whole different kettle of fish, when it comes to upgrades.

my 5600x and 4ghz ram does so well with the rtx 3080 1440p, i keep it 5-6 years than i get rid and its outdated and time to get DDR5 new board new cpu and new gpu.
    u basically showed a 5600x can handle UP to a 4080

Recently stepped up from the 3600 to the Ryzen 7 5700X for only $200. I had the 3600 since launch day in 2019 and finally decided to retire it earlier this month.

7600X is the worst investment at this time since 5800X3D is still around.

    November 3, 2022 - 12:10 pm

I had a 1600 and wanted a 7600 before I added up the cost of the CPU plus new motherboard and RAM. It turns out there are some nice sales on Ryzen 5600 and 5600X CPUs right now.
I'm hopeful that your test results mean my new 5600 will not hold back an RTX 4070 when they release.

This makes me feel pretty comfortable. I’m running a 6800+5600X but just recently upgraded to an G9 super ultrawide monitor. Given that it’s just below 4k, the 6800 isn’t bad but definitely could use replacing and I had my eye on the 4090.

I was mildly worried about bottlenecking but based on this vid, I shouldn’t be

They have synthetic benchmark sites for gpus and cpus.good place to see the results before building or buying a system.while they may not be 100% specific to your build it will give you an idea:Passmark,3dMark,Userbenchmark.the majority likely know this.just trying to help the newbies.

To be fair first and second gen ryzen cpu's were pretty bad in gaming since they couldnt beat old ancient skylake cpu's released several years prior to ryzen launch…

    November 3, 2022 - 12:10 pm

lmao i feel called out in the intro. still running my 2600x with a 1070 ti since upgrades didnt seem worth for me yet, but i will probably settle for a 5800X3D and a 6700 XT unless the RDNA3 release promises better value than that

You buy a RTX4800 and use the saved money to buy a 5800x3d, put it on your old mb and upgrade the mainboard and ram in a couple years.
