I have been working in IT industry for past 15 yrs and have worked across almost all customers from USA, Canada , Australia, Middle East , UK and finally Netherlands.
Also i have lived in Dubai for 5 years and later moved to NL and living for past 3 yrs.
I must say NL is one of the best country to live with family
And 30 percent tax ruling for skilled workers is applicable only for 5 yrs.
Last but not least this country is to settle down with family and it has lots of benefits in the long term like stable economy, pension benefits, good dutch education system, equal treatment compared to other countries in my case real experiences.
However if you are looking for a chance to come here , save money and send to your country this is not the place because cost of living is high with family.
