I should reiterate that freelance artists are free to contract out to whom ever they want that is paying. I hope that having their names on the project does not end up being a bad thing. Like and subscribe because I need $80,000 in youtube money to get myself a cool spaceship NFT!

Looks like somebody trying to capitalize on NFTs, I guess the question is whether these people are serous about making a game. Turning pledges into NFTs may not be a smart move to be honest, based on the price of those ships I'm definitely out. πŸ™‚ But if it were to get a quality game produced more power to them. I do have to say, their ships definitely play to the little bitches who hate canopy struts…

I agree with you, as an somebody who holds NFTs my self, I only hold them to make a profit. If I were to buy "NFT" from this game, I'd be looking to make a profit. So what's the model? I mean, how do you find people who care… of course that said I could be missing something, maybe all the greedy investors like my self care after we sell the NFTs off.

Oh wait… I don't, I care about my profit, the money made and whether I can pay my 7 figure mortgage in 5 years vs 30. πŸ˜‰

or they keep making more design, so star citizen and other aspiring space game development cannot imitate their design due to copyright.

the hardest thing in game development is the collision engine. so dont expect much any interactive video in the near future.

This is as much of a scam as star citizen is . Hundreds of millions of dollars and 10 years of development and still no complete game .

There's been soooooooooo many starships created in the last 60 years, I can find design elements similar to each and everyone of them. They all look similar. In my mind it's almost like a compliment to the original designer. Like the SW X-wing and the Babylon 5 Starfury. Very similar but just a little different.

That game demo has "Avatar" written all over its inspiration. Is star Atlas just a blackhole of plugged together IP to suck money out of people?

While I agree with you about NFTs, I feel that Star Citizen is missing the boat on crypto. If CIG were to turn it's in game currency into a crypto currency, they could allow players to "mine" UEC using the video cards we must have to even play Star Citizen. This crypto currency could be used in game to buy ships, or in the real world. Use similar properties to Bitcoin to keep UEC secure and valuable.

So. I will say that there is a bit of misinformation. Very understandable why though. For example, those ships that are 20 dollars and then sold for 300 is actually 20 dollars. It’s a marketplace like crypto/stocks would be bought so if someone buys a ship, they can sell it for whatever price they want. The price someone should buy it for is the 20 dollars. It’s a really stupid way to sell ships and honestly, have no idea why the company chooses to do that. Because anything other than the 20 dollar ship is other players.

They are years and years away from an actual game. Currently, you can earn money in the β€œgame” but it’s staking your ships. For that 20 dollar ship, you can make about a dollar a day. Most people I’ve seen that play this β€œgame”, have like 40-50 of them and resupply them and claim atlas(the in game currency). You buy supplies with atlas and make atlas by running missions. Apparently, they plan to keep adding actual missions to the game and then(I assume 5+ years) they will add an actual playable game.

Personally, I like NFT related things but I am wary of them. I’ve done a lot of research on this one since it reminds me a lot of star citizen for obvious reasons. It’s either a massive scam or will be really cool. I personally own polis, their governance token and a little atlas. Just to see how things go.

Also note, the original price of the bike was twenty USDC but your current price was 382 ATLAS, the internal cryptocurrency of Star Atlas. The ATLAS is currently trading at five cents, so the current value of the bike is nineteen dollars.

Ahh someone got mad they didn't get their Bored Ape… ????????????????
You talk the same way many people did at the beginning of Star Citizen and many still say the same things you say about this new NFT "game". Star citizen is the same just a little further down the road. You say well SC ships are not NFT's well I beg to differ. There are several websites you can visit to buy ships as well sell them. What would be funny is if Star Atlas passed SC in gameplay etc. I really doubt it will as well I still doubt SC will ever be released in a form it was originally said to be…

I mean I wish them luck to find actual backers, which will be highly unlikely, since we're still waiting for Star Citizen to release something more than a technical alpha. We're still pouring money into this to make that dream come true. Funding another half assed dream of a game, that is very similar to Star Citizen just doesn't make any sense to me…

Oh boy do I love the people that talk about this thing not being scam-suspicious while throwing that word all over Star Citizen, lol. I was just mentioning how most of the people saying Star Citizen is a scam are the same people that bought a ninth 'new' variant of Skyrim and/or GTAV from the developers/publishers that have just been milking a single game for literally as much as they can get away with. At least Star Citizen is giving you something new with ship releases. Skyrim is just letting you play it on a HotPocket COLOR now and GTAV gets an arguably better graphics update than the last graphics update, lol.

Maybe it doesn't matter much considering the context of the video, but price is 363 ATLAS, the in-game currency, which will come to around $20. Ship prices have reached organic tradability on the marketplace, and are being exchanged between players, and retaining original value quite well, all things considered.

I get that concept artists may be freelance but as it stands now, after seeing this video it doesn’t seem like they have any integrity when it comes to sharing very similar designs. They change up or warp a few things are reuse design aspects and essentially get paid twice for something close to what they’ve done already or are taking other’s designs. Feels like a main brand having a spy feed knock off blueprints to the highest bidder so they can get their laundering scheme set up

The irony would be, if Star Atlas release a game before Star Citizen. Unreal Engine 5 have potential and at the end of the day, the only thing that matters is fun. With Starfield and Star Atlas, if CIG keeps gutting the patches, then i wont be ashamed to jump the boat. Ive pledged 1044€ to Star Citizen, had my fun, but not having a core mutiplayer features after 10 years is really sad.

Montoya it gets even worse, the calico ship is a kit bash to 600 I mixed with a Carrick body. You even have the anvil design language of the rear fuselage.
