Thank you I’m new to this. Also.. I just realised there is a piece on the sewing machine that breaks the thread 🤯🤷🏼‍♀️ don’t I feel dumb for using scissors all the time.

I've never bothered to stay stitch cause I didn't know what it meant as well plus, back then 30 years ago there was no U tube to find out for myself. Your video was nice and simple and a good idea only going to centre as well. THANKYOU! I'll be trying this weekend! 👗⚘💃🧵🪡

For anybody who wants to understand why sewing direction matters, check out this video: https://www.threadsmagazine.com/2019/08/23/staystitching-basics-video (Can't say I understand it 100% yet but I am closer than I was.)

If you have lining, do you stay stitch it to the fabric or both separately?

When you say just stitch to the centre and then do the other side. When they meet in the middle do you go over the other stitch to make it a continuous line or does it not have to connect in the middle. Hope I have explained it ok

Thank you Angela, very simply explained, I'm just getting back into sewing and have forgotten some of the stitching terminology, great reminder for brushing up, I'm sure to get stuck again at some point so have subscribed and will be sure to come back to your video clips again – thank you for your time and sharing your skills.
