1:50: it has become a management cliche. And we find managers, directors, VPs etc saying “I want the 80 thousand foot view” or “let me give you the 500,000 foot view”. You dare not claim to have a higher view than the people higher up the food chain, but you have to be deploying the cliche routinely in order to be considered management material – regardless of whether you actually HAVE such a view or not.

What I’ve found is that the people who actually have that view are the ones who get hounded out of management because they “don’t fit the culture” or something. And then three years later, what they said would be reality turns out to be reality. And the “let me give you the 500,000 foot view” director is claiming credit for reacting to it – while the company would instead have proactively addressed the issue already, had those with the actual 500,000 foot view been allowed to manage the scenario.

    1. "You have to not have the same bag of experiences as everyone … "or else you're going to make the same connections [as everybody else]
    2. Zoom in and out

In our world smartness is always connected to success and doing big things… I think there are a lot of people who are smart but doesn't care if they are successful or not. The just wanna live and enjoy their life

I'm an artist. I've been painting for 57 years. I got my first set of oil paints when I was 7. I do not make much money at all from my art. How does that fit into all this?

Bro, you most likely don't even know 1 highly intelligent person. You likely only know smart people. Highly intelligent people = about 0.1% of the world population. 0,1% = 1 out of 1000. Even 1 out of 1000 is far too high. Highly Intelligent people are like 1 out of 10.000/100.000 people at least. Super rare. Smart people = about 5% of the world population. Smart = Your average boss. Your average boss = idiot.

  • Socrates_The_Great

    February 9, 2023 - 5:12 am

Hahahaha. Bullshit. You are born mentally totally different if you are born extraordinarily intelligent. It has nothing to do with "living differently" – Geniuses live differently, think differently, talk differently, because they are fundamentally different. I got ADD, some Autism, and some Schizotypy. I have never in my life met anymore as or more intelligent as me. And I'm not making it up. That is the truth. And "smart" is not intelligent. Smart in my book is just at the top of average intelligent lol. Your boss is "smart" not intelligent.

  • Socrates_The_Great

    February 9, 2023 - 5:12 am

I got a really high intelligence: Prove = I already age 20 knew IQ was outdated bullshit. I had figured it out myself. The reason scientists can't figure out what real intelligence is. They are not highly intelligent themself. Just like the guy who invented IQ like 100 years ago now. Had he been Highly intelligent he would not have been wrong by miles like he was. And made everybody think IQ = intelligence for like 100 years lol. When it is not even close. Not Even Close.

Funny part is that Steve limited his interactions with people, things and places. He was scared about losing time, focus, or "polluted" himself, this obsession was present in the simple act of eating(he was a kind of Sheldon Cooper, full of manias). "Experiences" for him were literally studies.

first of all the only way you can properly test for iq is to have proper conditions to draw it out
if people arent eating sleeping or mentally sound, youre not getting shit. IQ is a joke. IQ Tests, a joke. All zooming out is, is 'rubberducking' your view of life..

    My notes:
    1. Zoom out, see the big picture
    2. Be open to experience
    3. Perspective is key
    4. What changes you the most are the people you meet — (not just because of the unique pov you get btw)
    5. An alternative to 4 is the unique perspectives you can get from experience, or reading books

Jobs is dead because he tried to cure his pancreatic cancer with meditation. I tried surgery and radiation for my cancer and I am still alive, outliving Steve Jobs. Which one of us is the smartest, net worth or long life? Maybe both?

I got sacked from my first job. I was too young, immature and lacked life experiences. Then I got cheated on! Packing up and living overseas was the best thing I could have done for myself. Different experiences, challenges & hardship allowed me to break through when I returned and got my life back on track
