Listen, the maths is simple and unbeatable. Forex is buying foreign currency for low and selling when demand is high. So the dollar was R20 and you sold it at R22. Thats R2 profit. Good. The dollar wont increase by massive amounts, we know that.
So grasshopper, how many dollars would you have to buy to make R200 profit in that scenario? 100, youd have to buy 100 dollars for R2000 for the chance to make R200. If you are that lucky for 30 days straight, you will make a whole whopping R6000. R2000 investment made you R6000. Lets ignore all the broker fees.
Seems like a good idea right? Lets talk the risk. Some days you will lose R2. That means if you lose everyday, you will be left with nothing by day 10. R2000 – R200 per day = 10 days.
Now lets average it out. You lose/win half the time. So day 1 you win R2, day 2 you lose R2. It doesnt take a genius to realize that after 30 days you have R0 profit.
Now lets add broke fees there.
Congrats, you are a statistically talented trader, you make a profit on 50% of your trades, you are far above average. But you have made R0 profit and you owe broker fees.
In that time you wasted, Jabu has passed his semester at UJ, Jabu will graduate and earn R38k after tax in 5 years while you are borrowing you mothers pension fund because you believe oneday you will make the trade of your life. Because Coach DJ and Sandile Shezi the unveriefied millionares who couldnt pass basic algebra told you so.

For those that got lost, let me put it simple.
The profit margins on a dollar are too low for you to make a living with you small nyana R20k. You need to trade with at least R200k and be extremely lucky. This is why wallstreet traders make money, they trade with large account of other peoples money.
Go back to varsity my boy. Its the safest trade you can play for long term ROI.

March 3, 2024 - 9:44 amNo one makes a living from day trading forex. Im not talking about a trade making you R10k, factor in the other trades you lost. At the end of the month you have not made a liveable income.
You need a lot of money to make money from stock, and preferable not your own money.
So this dream yall selling is a dream and is supported by actual statistics. Only 1 % of day traders make a profit, of that 1%, 90% of them make less money that a cashier at McDonald's.
This is not Wolf of Wallstreet, they lied to you. Go back to UJ, graduate, apply, work, buy a Polo, rent in Midrand, 5 years later you'll own a townhousè and drive a 3 series. Keep going.
Can you make money with Forex? Yes definitely. Are YOU going to make money? No, better chances at life via UJ my authi. Trust me, pacing yourself ase bo bhari.
