I tried this with a field recording of ducks in Narragansett Bay. It sounds like someone left a hot mic open in the eighth circle. Valhalla Supermassive is great for this πŸ™‚

Another fabulous video Cameron, super inspiring. I've learned a ton about cinematic sound design from your channel. Is there an easy way to get a similar effect in Ableton? I've been managing to get something close by playing with the BPM of the sample clip to blow it up, but it seems to be locked to track tempo making the clips a bit more rhythmic and less chaotic than I'm going for. I'm sure there's something I'm probably missing…

no mention of paulstretch! …. eventide verb can step up as a replacement though so hey

its also very cool to do this midway through producing a track—1. resample your full song… 2. stretch it moderately… 3. process it some how…. 4. sidechain it to your song's drum beat

I love the way you're almost now starting with a "douchebag of the week!" feature. Torn between wishing they'd leave you alone and looking forward to laughing at what next week's douche has come up with…! Anyways – another inspiring cocktail of stuff to try. Many thanks again

funny how people interpret sounds differently, you say spooky with those sounds but i heard the front line of ww1 from a distance at the beginning with shells and mortars going off but towards the end when you said spooky again I heard what it might sound like in a submarine deep down during conflict with bulkheads of sinking ships twisting and breaking up on the surface and then twisted metal drifting to the bottom and also the eeriness of a submarine when it picks up all noises under water. Listen back and see if you can hear what i heard. Good to hear from you again Cameron. Have a fabulous weekend, Peace and Out ✌️???? 6:45 A good way to blend top end and low end is to use the mid-side split. But the lo in the middle and the hi on the sides.
