May 1, 2024 - 5:11 amTbf, the end game areas have really complicated puzzles that most people dont understand. There are several locked chests with puzzles behind them, or you need several rare keys.

Welllll, FF14 did have big betas. The expansions didn't, BUT, those didn't need to cuss they already had The formula. It was just more of the same (not in a bad way).

May 1, 2024 - 5:11 amSo basically this is the PC version of "The Last Day On Earth:Survival" that has been on Android for like a decade, it had a different name before but the game is old and I'm glad it has a better version coming out, wish it had the oil functionality Asmondgold was talking about, been saying that for years.

May 1, 2024 - 5:11 amThe repitition problem is actually something that made me not pick up new RPG/Open world games the past few years. I am someone that likes to 100% games. But if the games starts feeling repetative half way through for anything outside the main story. Then it really gets old. I think Assassans creed suffered from this. It was O.K. for the 1st 3 games, but after a while every AC felt like AC in Egypt, AC in Rome, AC whereever instead of OMG a new AC I wonder what it'll be like. The few open world games that have done well the past like 5 years don't suffer from this. I still haven't played Elden Ring but I know it's not like this. I think that because they didn't feel like their game was going to be big then they didn't wanna put the effort to make uniqueness like that. So what they did is acceptable and makes sense to me. But it may be hard for them to change it up now that they are closing up beta, unless they tack on a year to change it. But most AAA open-worlds have no excuse other then basically trying to blueprint success instead of realizing that games are 80% art/story and 20% mechanics.

May 1, 2024 - 5:11 amI'm sorry ark is not trash its the game that launched survival games forward. Without ark you wouldn't get games like this. Yes it has a steep learning curve but its on of the best games out there.
