Winner Job Dura Prijs 2022 – Kunstenaarsverblijf Charloisse Lagedijk

The Artist’s Residence on Charloisse Lagedijk is the winner of the Job Dura Prize 2022. The designer of the Artist’s Residence is architectural firm Bureau SLA. This year’s theme is ‘Circularity and sustainable use of materials’.
The Artist’s Residence provides temporary living and working space for artists, performers and theatre makers. The building has been constructed almost entirely of natural materials. For example, the shell of the Artists’ Residence is made of limestone hemp concrete.
The uncompromising, innovative application of the bio-based building material and the high architectural quality is something the jury praised about the Artists’ Residence. The construction technique is very promising and calls for larger-scale application.
The Job Dura Prize is an initiative of the Job Dura Fund Foundation. In addition to the prize, the Job Dura Fund annually supports and encourages various initiatives that sustainably innovate and/or help revitalise the built environment of greater Rotterdam.
