All this hype about losing Call of Duty was actually started by gamers doing videos saying that Xbox is going to take Call of Duty from PlayStation! When the deal was pronounced is when that rumor started! I own both XBOX X and PS5! Now if Microsoft would take Call of Duty from PlayStation I'm okay but it would force PlayStation to bring back the godfather of Modern Warfare which was a game that came on PlayStation 2 called Socom US Navy seals was the first Modern Warfare game to ever come out it started Call of Duty to think in Modern Warfare style instead of world war II style because there was no Modern Warfare until Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare which came out on the PS3!
A side note!
Socom US Navy seals had just as many fans playing it as Call of Duty Modern Warfare! That being said! Most PlayStation fans want Socom US Navy seals to come back out on PlayStation! But although PlayStation said they weren't going to make another one now a lot of people are going to PC just to play Socom US Navy seals because it is now on PC! In my personal opinion so calm you as Navy seals is way better than Call of Duty because you can go and play the whole campaign in third person! Or you could play the whole game in first person! By far the Best in it's class! Also Socom US Navy seals was the first game of its type at the time and was the fastest game to become a PlayStation's greatest hits with over a million sold which was a record of all set the record for first released game to become a PlayStation's Greatest Hits Games in record time!

October 17, 2022 - 9:05 amI hope we don't end up with just Unreal engine games, different engines offer different looks, Unreal games look similar, always have done, you can tell Arkham Knight is the same engine as Gears, you can tell ME has the same engine as Spec Ops The Line (amazing games don't get me wrong), look at Batman talking on his comm and the Marcus, two totally different games but still the samey look, if we lose all those engines be it Red Engine, Apex, Anvil, Frostbite etc etc etc we lose some of the character of those games, they all have strengths and weaknesses but that's part of what makes gaming so magic.

Stop shipping Xboxβs with cool features like the tv snap and than taking it off. Xbox ruined the clip posting. It used to be like like a Instagram type of posting where you can see your friends clip in the βcommunityβ tabβ¦..Xbox done killed that off by making clip posting private (which makes no sense). Xbox also ruined the friends list by making it some garbage friends/follower modelβ¦.go back to friend requests. Modern (post 2011 Xbox) is not about quality no more. Theyβre designing Xbox to now be microtransaction centric with game pass and all this cloud stuff. Trash games, half made games, free to play garbage and stupid mouse/keyboard support on console. Take mouse/keyboard support out these console games. Stop prioritizing these PC/keyboard people. These PC people will leak your game, mod and cheat all in your gamesβ¦..Focus on your Xbox console controller people. Microsoft needs to stop hating/killing off your own console players.

October 17, 2022 - 9:05 amOne thing I disagree with is the idea that online gaming platforms/social media should just place the burden of blocking/reporting online trolls on the end user.
As a grown man I'm far less likely to be stalked or sent r*pe threats online the way girls and women, _children_, marginalized people, et al. are, but I also don't think I should have to deal with having to even read/hear toxic (or worse) comments when I'm trying to enjoy myself in online gaming, let alone have to be the one to block trolls and report them.
It's also not fair to those with far less power and privilege in society to also have to deal with toxic trolls online who may or may not be an actual serious threat to their safety and security, whether it's from SWATting, stalking, etc.
Online platforms have a duty of care to their users, their _customers_, to build platforms that are safe from all forms of toxicity, but particularly to keep them safe from the kind of harm that online platforms enable.
I'm not saying that tech platforms' attempts to crack down on toxicity haven't had their own issues with regard to things like privacy, and we should be as wary of capitalist corporations controlling free exchange of information/opinions/ideas as we would any government, but there has to be some way to balance enhancing online security of individuals on tech platforms without invasive and restrictive methods of authentication that doesn't just leave it all to the end user to have to deal with alone, because even if this toxicity mostly amounts to idle threats and venting, doesn't mean it doesn't have a dangerous, and potentially even fatal, impact on the mental health of those who are most likely to be on the receiving end of said toxicity.

October 17, 2022 - 9:05 amRegarding Overwatch 2. Lunch day was a bit of a cluster, but stuff happens and it wasn't the end of the world. They had to shut down OW1 of course they had to do that. How would they balance and keep 2 different games updated when they barely have the staff to get OW2 done and on the market? It would make no sense to keep both games running separately. if anything just have a 6v6 lobby in the Arcade mode on OW2. Also, people arent just now saying "why call it OW2". This has been an ongoing saga for 3 years. Originally, it was to be a PVE campaign and updated PVP, but development on the PVE was not going fast enough. The new management decided to put the PVP out first, yet since it was already being called OW2 they just stuck with the name. As far as the phone requirement, it was to keep Smurf accounts off the game. In the past 2 years the Smurf accounts have gone crazy. Idk why they didn't originally allow it to work with prepaid, but they are now removing that requirement. I assume it was around the idea people can just get a $20 phone with new numbers and use them to create Smurf accounts more easily. The battle pass is actually not to bad now that I've had a chance to play OW2 for a week or so. Lets be real, companies have to make money too. Overall I think the changes will be better in the long run for the franchise.

KONAMI did so with Efootball 2023 becoming free to play they instantly shut down the servers for the game that people bought from there hard earned money. That was a huge slap in the face to everyone since they ruined a whole game series and made it a lot worse.
