February 5, 2023 - 6:39 amThis documentary was made 12 years ago and itβs still to this day one of the greatest and most important documentaries ever created.
Here are some of my takeaways watching this doc again in 2023.
1. The social, political, economic and financial cancers of the world still exist and itβs getting worse and worse with each passing year.
2. RIP to Michael Ruppert, John McMurtry and most importantly Jacque Fresco whoβs views and blueprints for an RBE will never go away.
3. World population hit 8 billion and a lot sooner than this doc predicted. They said 2030 but instead it happened right at mid November 2022. Not good.
4. Renewables have been growing but so too has global emissions. Climate change at this point is not a matter of if, but when? And we are seeing record highs of global temps everywhere these past couple of years.
5. 3D printing has not happened as swiftly as hoped. I thought this tech would be widespread and most households would have one but itβs still very limited in its capabilities somewhat as of now. Maybe the field would be rejuvenated in the next couple of decades.
6. Automation also hasnβt been as widespread as hoped. The unemployment rate at least here in the US when this doc was released was around 10%. Now itβs at 2.5%. Maybe in the next 10-15 years automation really begins to displace large numbers of people as AI really gets more advanced in conjunction.
7. The very ending made me tear up. I would love to imagine the day where we throw all our money away and begin a new sustainable chapter in human history if we do get there mind you.

Personally I don't find anything wrong with that considering how disorganized the status quo are, and how there are cyclic cataclysmic events and other uncertainties that when fitted with the present society is we are provingly irresilient, maladaptive and prone to extinction without a greater societal order that shall cybernetically harmonize the Earthly resources by firstly dealing with the tough process of resource centralization which is on a basis blood, gold and glory β or a covert & direct segmental hot & cold wars that has no mercy until the strongest, intelligent, resourceful and coordinative in terms of utilizing an optimized network of global entities wins.
I DO WISH THAT WE COULD DEAL WITH IT IN A MUCH MORE HUMANE or in a theme of being one despite our present material differences. But what's the most realistic applied approach that the society can do in making ourselves proactively efficient without the need for structural violence and coercion? While games like GTA 5, CODM, DOTA 2, CSGO, Fortnite, RDR2, and such are trending for a common reason due to our present inclination. Even fiat and other forms of currencies won't proliferate if we didn't had the tendency to "prey" in the first place.
So how can we convert our predatorial tendency into creating a true collective individual system that doesn't have to prey on others? e.g. Resource Based Economy, Intentional Technocratic-Naturalist Communities, etc.
I do doubt it even I don't want to doubt the latter sequence of my thought 'cos I want to stay realistic upon this sequence.
I NEED HELP WITH THIS.
Otherwise the future would be monetized via smart contracts until it totally collapses in the hands of AI integrated with the inputs of the most powerful humans in terms of resource ownership, hence the undeniable bias in the near future.

There is a certain country that was first with a central bank (1668) and first with establishing telecom infrastructure around the globe (1890s). The owners of that infrastructure happens to be an old banking family that has shaped the course of history for centuries. They are behind many of the conflicts since the Congress of Vienna in 1815, including the chinese opium wars and the two world wars (and by that ofc the Cold War as well). Did World War 1 start because of a murdered archduke or because Abdulhamid II threatened the western economy with railroads between Africa and the Middle-East? They dug the Suez canal to earn money, not to have competition. Of course, everything canΒ΄t be blamed on one family but they have been instrumental together with intelligence agencies, businessmen and other banking families. And they continue to be instrumental, if they remade the whole banking system of germany (to make WW2 plausible for the german people) and finanzed both sides, they can certainly do so even in todayΒ΄s conflicts. But more and more people are starting to notice the crimes of this Deep State within states, including murders and extortion, and they donΒ΄t control every country. The tide has begun to turn, they might even crash together with their own monetary system. Some companies of note are Ericsson, ABB and Investor.

February 5, 2023 - 6:39 amAwesome documentary! I've had for a long time a feeling and (almost) conclusion that the very core of our society is detrimental. Money, profit and market economy (capitalism) is indeed the source of the corruption and needs to be extinct. Like the video states, true "economy" is not about money, it's about resources and using it efficiently. This documentary confirms lots of my accumulated information, thoughts and feelings, regarding this faulty society which is established today. I'm happy to have found and seen this video! The most annoying thing is if you try to talk with people about this (truth), they can't or won't listen and judge you as if you're from another planet.
