April 22, 2024 - 4:13 amI have been saying this for the past 2 years. There is a clear real estate bubble in Ethiopia. The income of the middle-class people is not matching up with the amount of real estate being built. It used to be a way for rich people to park their asset. But that works when there are other people waiting to buy that property. Give it a few years this thing will collapse.

But please correct your definition. Whether you rent out or live in it, a house is a real state and is an asset. A fully paid house is an asset. A bank loan is a liability.

– am quite sure you have no clue what ermias mean to say he is trying to make sth out of it. He has said right things in the interview but he NEVER give any comment regarding the future perspective
– what would the lenders will have especially for the properties held as a collateral? ( remember all commercial banks including CBE lend 1.9 trillion birr in 2023, almost 95%+ of those loans were given based on market value of real properties )

Doctors and pharma companies are making people sick intentionally with fetal diseases for financial gain.. then once you buy a house, you are trapped.
