April 18, 2024 - 10:28 pmIt took me 8 years to be able to trade forex, I am happy for you, if you are able to trade forex at the age of 21, I am 34 years now, I started forex when I was 24years in 2014 but all I can say is that I am now doing better, but still learning.

April 18, 2024 - 10:28 pmKnow yourself it’s very important because Prop firm can give you anything btwn 2000USD to 4MiL and if one hasn’t spent time journaling their thoughts and trades during the period when one is haemorrhaging money they can do damage to themselves. Advice: Take your time and test and perfect your Trading model and have low expectations( money that makes your ends meet the grow from there, don’t share your results coz it will invite a lot of unwanted guests and attention and your performance will be socially based and you won’t keep up. Am a Trader and mostly trading stock indices( US500 and Nasdaq) but I started with Forex (currencies)and it’s hell of a journey because you’re constantly in a battle with your self(psychology). First and foremost like any other career this takes time atleast 3yrs. 1st yr and am assuming you’ve found a Mentor (+/- 20yrs experience doing it and can sit with you) You will learn Price Action, Trading psychology, Risk Management and the urban flows seasonally of how the instrument or asset moves in the different times of the year. 2nd year (1st 6months) do Tape reading and Model creation( what makes you engage the Market or Strategy) and the remainder you do Demo Trading and your intention is not to make money but to test your strategy in a simulated environment like how Drs do on Cadervors in Medskool. Then on your 3rd year if one chooses can open up a live Account and Trade their money or go out trade other people’s money through Prop firm funding like I do but you get evaluated before you’re handed an acc or You allow people to copy you trades and charge 10% or 20% commissions and with this one you not touching someone else’s money. I could talk more but the are no limits with Prop firm Trading. Anyone less than 10yrs i don’t regard them as a Mentor but a COACH.

April 18, 2024 - 10:28 pmRemember as much as u think u can make money in forex go watch the videos about the brokers u use they can eat ur money nd blow ur account u need a good understanding nd foundation it isn't easy at all… U see these forex mentors have years of experience u can't come now nd expect millions it's time nd hard wrk alot of patience aswel dnt fall for strategys that u think Wil make u profitable especially if u afraid to lose money they Goodluck cause this shit Wil knock ur pocket hard if u revenge trade

The best investment fund in the world renaissance technologies only hires PhDs and only the people working there can invest in the fund to keep their strategies a secret. How does selling signals make sense if the best “traders” in the world keep theirs a secret.
As a retail trader how does she compete with institutional traders given that they are already at an advantage. What edge does she have over other retails traders.
As she doesn’t have formal education where/how did she cover the gap and learn about the info needed like derivatives/asset pricing, quantitative modelling, portfolio management etc.
Is she planning or registered for CFA, CQF or FRM etc why/why not. What are her strategies based on, does she validate her strategies like backtesting etc, risk management/analysis, does she do fundamental, technical or quantitative analysis why/why not.
Maybe she’s legit maybe she’s not. One of the reasons for accreditation is that there’s an institution provide legitimacy whereas with someone who is self taught we just have to take them at their word. The S&P has outperformed active investors/traders in the last decade and <5% of retail traders make profit. If you’re working best thing you can do is buy an index and focus on what makes you money.

April 18, 2024 - 10:28 pmAvoid accepting lies ,retail trading is shady and institutional trading is legit .and its not ''forex trading'' its just ''trading'' .the name forex its one of the topics in the trading industry. the person u are talking to is a promoter and a share holder in the trading company ,they work similar to herbal life promoters ,how many herbal life products do u have to sell to buy a porche and a G-wagon in a space of two years its possible but all the money you worked hard for ,for two years goes to cars? no! the maths is not mathing. Something is up and the thing is that The herbal life promoter are registered as share holders in the company and they making money from that + recruiting+ selling and delivering here and there.

Forex definitely requires in-depth knowledge of the market trends, historic and current, world events and a lot of discipline and patience. Once you make an emotional trade you will lose. Something I learned trading was pay yourself at every opportunity you can and trade off of profits to avoid emotional trades.

April 18, 2024 - 10:28 pmAll I can say is, if you see people flexing and posting a lavish lifestyle on social media run the other way because most of those people/influences can't trade, they get paid by brokers who they promote, they sell signals ect. Trading is very difficult to learn and takes years to to get good at it. If you want to be successful at trading get a mentor. Only about 10% of traders make money from the markets so it's very difficult to be a profitable trader.
