Tbh these cards would have been so much better if released a year early at current state but it is what it is and hoping good things for battlemage. Good luck team blue.

October 26, 2022 - 12:01 pmI think it's great that IAG are extremely open and upfront about the shortcomings of the work in progress that is the founding ARC 700 Series gpu's.
Too often we see the competition peddling marketing and PR cooked graphs that skew or paper over any inherent weaknesses a gpu (or family of gpu's).
There's zero doubt that with incredible design engineers like Mr Koduri, it will be short time before IAG nails the API bindings that make the Series click and finally begin to fire on all cylinders.
At this point, i'm holding off until the drivers and optimizations mature over the next 9-18 months, when i'm sure driver revisions will unleash the currently (artificially) pegged true capabilities of the ARC 700's.

This thing is convoluted as F with custom parts and inefficient design choice.
Without all that garbage custom parts and screwmixing you could have probably cut the cost down by 10%.

I personally like the new A770 / A750, and understand that Intel had problems with its driver team in Russia, and COVID-19 related supply chains problems, all of this caused to lose momentum.
Nonetheless ARC is turning great! I hope the continue with B770 and C770 in the future.
